Now Hiring - Sales Assistant in Niagara Falls, NY

I like big groups and I cannot lie! Our Sales Assistants are the ring leaders of this circus– managing all of our groups, from a family of 10 to tour groups of 150+. They build and nurture our client and partner relationships, source new business, manage bookings for our groups and tour partners, and coordinate sales efforts with our marketing programs. For this position you must LOVE a good spreadsheet and have a talent for selling splashes to the masses. The ability to wrangle a rowdy group of camp kids is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the implementation of the Sales and Marketing Plan and providing administrative support to the Director of Sales and Marketing
• Acting as a brand ambassador, ensuring our brand, vision and mission are upheld in the market
• Assist in identifying opportunities for new business, conducting sales activities, and planning for sales strategies
• Booking group reservations, with payment as required, meeting and greeting groups, assisting with educational programs and client site visits
• Data entry and monthly reporting
• Other duties as required

Health and safety responsibilities:

• Understand and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
• Understanding of all MARSEC (Marine Security and Awareness) levels on how it relates to WJBT operations. In house training is provided

Ideal Candidate would have or acquire:

• (2+ years) Customer service and/or sales experience
• Excellent oral communication – confident when speaking in person and on the phone with guests, clients and potential clients
• Punctuality and respect of time constraints and demands when serving large numbers of people
• Fluency in other languages is an asset

Most of our positions are seasonal, beginning in late April-May and finishing around Halloween. But our staff love it so much, they come back every summer!

The tour company’s fleet of custom-built jet boats depart from locations on the Canadian and American sides of the Niagara River, including Queenston, ON and Lewiston, NY.
